So, how did you spend your April Fool’s day? We hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful day as much as we did! Jessica and I were honored to be the wedding photographers for a touching wedding in Monroe Michigan. If you’re from Michigan, you know that we haven’t exactly seen much of the sun in the last few months. In fact, it has been a running joke during this time between myself and Jessica saying something along the lines of “When did we move to Seattle?!” I mean, we literally had a whopping two whole days of sunshine in January! You might understand these two photographers’ concern then, as our most recent wedding approached… would the weather give us the new norm? Turns out, God would smile brightly on this wonderful couple last Saturday and give them the most beautiful sunny (and moderately warm) day imaginable! Yes! I do believe in miracles! We are excited to announce the first of our limited edition portrait sessions of 2017! The date we have set aside for these sessions is April 22, 2017. You may be wondering, “Just what is a limited edition portrait session?” Well, we are so glad you asked! Our limited edition portrait sessions are shorter in duration that our traditional sessions. They also follow a specific theme at a predesignated location. Our first limited edition sessions are being held at our very favorite location, which happens to be Elizabeth Park of Trenton, Michigan!
As you may have noticed last week, we’re coming back now, to our long lost blog… After a long absence! However, we are going to be taking a different approach in the content we will be presenting to you. While we still will be posting some of our favorite family and wedding projects, we are also going to concentrate quite a bit more on other areas of photography that we are passionate about. This will give you a bit of a chance to really see what we’re all about, and give us a chance to show off some of our more favorite personal projects, including the ever fantastical Porcupine Mountains.
In our line of work as photographers (and… it’s still difficult to call photography, work, really) we get to capture so many precious moments and wonderful, captivating people in life. Today, I’d like to tell you a bit about these two sweet and beautiful sisters who we have been watching grow up for the past year. Every six months we look forward to our bi-annual photo-shoot with these two, and yesterday for the first time, the weather cooperated and we were able to finally enjoy the outdoors together!
This setting for the gorgeous wedding photography we are sharing with you, was at Orlando Familia which is nestled on the grounds of the beautiful Riverview Highlands country club in Riverview Michigan.
So, we are a little behind in posting to our blog… Our apologies! However, today we have a little something special for you to peruse…
Back in the not-so-sunny month of June, we had a fantastic time sharing a truly special experience with these adorable sisters. This photo shoot of these little angels was to take place at Greenfield Village. However the weather had other plans for us, so we had to alter our strategy and stroll inside the venerable Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. The mother and father wanted photos of their two precious and personable little girls playing and exploring the history and art. These two photographers were more than happy to oblige! If you’d like to see some of the over the top cuteness that occurred here during this photo shoot, we invite you to keep reading! Continue reading “Family Photo Shoot at the Henry Ford in Dearborn”
One of our engagement sessions required us to take a trip to Flint, Michigan. And while Flint gets a stereotypical “bad city” reputation, we are pleased to share the beauty that this amazing little park held. Don’t believe us? Take a peek at the rest of the post below!
Once in a while we get the opportunity to share those precious moments in life, like this one. This young gal was about to celebrate her first birthday, and we were fortunate enough to be called upon to photograph her cake smash in anticipation of this young lady’s first birthday party.
Arriving at Elizabeth Park in Trenton, MI to photograph an engagement/family session… We were a bit disappointed that the skies were still very gray, and still dropping a good amount of rain down on us. However, we were determined to make the best of it, and we were able to spend an idyllic afternoon photographing this very pleasant and delightful family at our favorite park in the Downriver Michigan area. Despite the uncooperative weather, we still all had a fantastic time and the shots that we were able to capture of this beautiful family are completely stunning. Read on to learn more about this shoot and see some of their amazing photos!
