Good afternoon everyone! I hope you’re doing well. Today on our blog, we want to share a recent engagement session with you, with one of our long-time fans and clients, Tracy, and her fiance, Jason. Most of the session took place along Hines Drive near Nankin Mills, with a few at their own home for some super cute portraits including their dogs. Ready to learn more? Keep reading to see the magic of the evening we spent with them both!
We started the engagement session with Tracy and Jason at their home. They were hoping to include their adorable puppies in a couple of the pictures, and we were happy to oblige them. In their backyard, we set them up, and started snapping away. We were able to capture some really sweet moments between the four of them, as well as a candid of the two puppies playing together.
After that, we quickly packed up, and headed to Hines Drive near Nankin Mills. When we arrived, we were overjoyed with the golden light cascading all around us. It is actually pretty rare to have such perfect light during our portrait sessions, and we could not contain our excitement. Tracy and Jason laughed at us and our excitement quite a bit, which incidentally, helped us capture some truly divine portraits of them together.
After a few pictures, we decided to walk around. Of course, we were taking some portraits of Tracy and Jason as they walked slightly ahead of us. We found a few more areas that accentuated the golden light that was filling the evening sky, before crossing over to Nankin Mills itself.
Once we crossed the street, we used the wooden footbridge that lead to the Nankin Mills barn for a few photographs. This spot was perfect, as we had the beautiful barn in the background, and still lots of pretty light filling the sky. Tracy and Jason were both such good sports about using the bridge here for portraits, and they trusted us completely with these precious memories.
After we finished up there, we drove over to a spot along Nankin Lake, for the final sunset portraits of the evening. Sadly, the sunset itself was too spectacular, but that didn’t stop us from taking some amazing photos of these two love birds. We even had Jason jumping for joy! All and all, we had a perfect session take place with this amazing couple.
After the silhouette picture was taken, the sunset was completely gone, and our session was completed. We can’t thank Tracy and Jason enough for trusting us to take their engagement pictures, nor for choosing us for this special honor. Tracy has been following us for a long time (since we started our business actually), as we photographed her best friends’ wedding. (It was our first paid wedding.) She told us last night (when we did her portrait reveal), that we had grown so much since then, and she was so thrilled at how the pictures turned out.
We hope you all enjoyed their engagement session, as much as we enjoyed taking them. If you are in need of an engagement session, please let us know! We would love to work with you and create special memories and portraits for you to cherish for years to come.
xoxo,
Jess
