Stevie and Dylan met up with us at the Lake Erie Metropark on a warm winter afternoon for their winter engagement session. At least, it was relatively warm, considering the rest of the week was nearly in the single digits… This park was very special to them. And, the date that we captured these amazing portraits, was also the day (a year prior) when Dylan popped the question!!! Awwww, we loved it!!! So, we not only had the snow that Stevie was hoping for, but we also had their special park, and the anniversary of the date that Dylan proposed! And as an added bonus… We stopped by a Christmas Tree stand after the park for a few unique portraits there too! We couldn’t have asked for better clients, a better day, or anything else. It was truly perfect.
5 Things People Forget to Tell You About Your Wedding Day
By the time your wedding day arrives, you will be more than ready to enjoy everything that you have spent planning within the last year (or more). You have worked hard to ensure that every detail is perfection personified, and so we are telling you the 5 things people forget to tell you about your wedding day. Trust us, these 5 things are very important to know!
The Danger of Not Clicking with Your Wedding Photographer
You may be wondering to yourself, while starting and going through the wedding planning process, why certain vendors charge what they do, and how on earth they can possibly be worth investing into. Wedding Photographers especially seem to have this question asked a lot of them, and many couples are shocked to learn, that their value has less to do with the portraits you receive, and more to do with the experience they provide you. So, before investing in someone to photograph your perfect day, remember the following rationale and avoid the danger of not clicking with your wedding photographer.
An April Fool’s (Wedding) Day Like No Other!
So, how did you spend your April Fool’s day? We hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful day as much as we did! Jessica and I were honored to be the wedding photographers for a touching wedding in Monroe Michigan. If you’re from Michigan, you know that we haven’t exactly seen much of the sun in the last few months. In fact, it has been a running joke during this time between myself and Jessica saying something along the lines of “When did we move to Seattle?!” I mean, we literally had a whopping two whole days of sunshine in January! You might understand these two photographers’ concern then, as our most recent wedding approached… would the weather give us the new norm? Turns out, God would smile brightly on this wonderful couple last Saturday and give them the most beautiful sunny (and moderately warm) day imaginable! Yes! I do believe in miracles!
Why You Absolutely Need a Generational Legacy
Having a Generational Legacy is, in my mind, of the utmost importance. Life is beyond short. It is filled with plenty of up and down moments, much like a roller coaster, speeding through the years slowly building up to the highs and crashing down to the lows. As we travel on our own adventures we will meet new people, intertwining our lives together in friendship and love. Inevitably, we will also sometimes lose those closest to us. As we continue along on our journeys through this digital age of life, people are disconnecting more than ever before. . . even in the face of all the newer technology around us that attempts to connect us in ways never dreamed of before.
